I definitely love what I do. all of the 7 am practices and endless days and sweaty friends and weird tan lines are so incredibly worth it. exhausted from my first homecoming in PRIDE, but thankful for the music and the memories we get to make together.

too much band this weekend
RIP to me bc homecoming 2k14

(but actually I love what I do and this wonderfully silly group of people and these weekends where I just want to curl up into a ball and cry of how tired I am because these moments remind me why I am still doing marching band)

today I had one of those moments when I thought “wow.. I really love marching band.”

it’s just so cool being a part of something so much greater than myself. I represent my school, my student body, and the pure spirit of my university. our band is loved and respected, and people are genuinely excited when they see us. I get to contribute to making something so incredible and wonderful, and I am a part of a group of people that are there through the rainy practices, the below freezing temps, the heat games, the awful khakis and tennis shoes, the good and the bad. I could not be more thankful for this wonderful organization that I am a part of, and I could not be more proud of the 350 other people that come together to create the PRIDE band. as nerdy as I may look, or as lame as it may seem, I love marching band, and I am not ashamed of it.
